The GFNY Marathon Florida course starts out with a bang: you get to race a big loop on the high adrenaline Sebring International Raceway. Experience 4.2 miles of exhilarating racing under floodlights to get you warmed up. Once you leave the track, you’re heading north towards the airport and then west along Kenilworth Blvd and east on Carroll Shelby Rd. This straight and flat road is perfect to dial in your ideal pace while ample water stations, volunteers and music motivate you.
GFNY Marathon Florida is both a race and a party! The course is divided into three out-and-back legs, which provides a fantastic racer and spectator experience. The compact route setup means that you are never far from the center of the action with family, friends and fans. The entire section along Carroll Shelby Rd is a designated Fan Zone where spectators can put up their tents and tailgate as they cheer their runners as they pass by multiple times. Also the triangle at Haywood Taylor and Kenilworth Blvd is a spectator Hot Corner that provides several chances to cheer the passing athletes. GFNY has multiple music areas along the course.
The course is USATF measured and serves as a qualifier for races such as the Boston Marathon or NYC Marathon. The early morning start and flat course profile make for GFNY Marathon Florida your perfect PR and qualification race.
